Belhaif Al Nuaimi Visits Al Mawashi - Al Ithad News

His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, discussed mechanisms to enhance the flexibility and sustainability of food supply chains, especially livestock, in line with the Ministry's strategy aimed at enhancing food security and sustainability in the UAE, with officials of the "Livestock" company. This came during his field visit to the company's complex in Jebel Ali in the Emirate of Dubai, during which he was briefed on the technical and technological systems applied by the company in the operations of receiving and distributing livestock consignments to the farm, the food safety and security standards applied in the company's slaughterhouse, and storage, cooling and meat processing systems. His Excellency's tour included a visit to all the facilities of the company's complex, which include the farm, slaughterhouse, cold stores and meat processing room. The total capacity of the company’s facilities reaches 60,000 sheep and 1,000 heads of cows - which is a full giant steamer load - and the company is working on processing and supplying meat to consumers through its sales showrooms or through the “Al Mawashi” smart application, which is the first of its kind and has been Launched in Dubai during the feed fair in September 2016. The Acting Executive Director of Al-Mawashi Company, Hossam Osama Sarhan, gave a detailed explanation to His Excellency Dr. Belhaif Al-Nuaimi about the integrated supply chain, which is managed entirely by the company, starting from the country of origin to the final consumer.
